AS AN exhibition of works created by Liverpool’s own Aboriginal women comes to a close, the Powerhouse will present a play giving insight into a very different time.
Rainbow’s End reveals a remarkable and often neglected period of Australian history, when Aboriginal women struggled for acknowledgement.
Well-known singer and musical theatre performer Christine Anu performs the role of Gladys, a mother striving for something better for her daughter.
She is joined by Lillian Combie, who plays her mother, Nan Dear, and Chenoa Deemal, who plays her daughter.
